This case study delves into the intricate details of waterproofing the multi-tiered roof at Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre, showcasing Kingsley Roofing London's expertise in tackling complex projects.
This project exemplifies Kingsley's commitment to quality, precision, and adaptability. The team’s meticulous attention to detail, from material selection to daily sealing procedures, guaranteed a flawless waterproof finish. Their ability to adjust to different roof types and challenges showcased their versatility and problem-solving skills.
The team meticulously layered the upper roof first. They secured OSB timber sheets, applied IKO bonding agent for adhesion, and then hot-air gunned the VCL membrane for a seamless seal. After installing parapets, KRL used IKO PU adhesive to fix insulation boards in a staggered pattern.
To maintain water-tightness during construction, the team only installed enough insulation daily to be covered with underlay, sealed overnight with night seals. Finally, they primed the insulation and applied IKO self-adhesive underlay before finishing with the IKO torch-on cap sheet for weatherproof protection.
The lower roof required a similar approach, but adapted to its metal deck pecks by priming them before installing the SA-VCL membrane. Once upstands were built, the insulation and underlay installation mirrored the upper roof with meticulous detail and daily sealing.
The successful waterproofing of the multi-tiered roof at Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre stands as a testament to Kingsley's expertise and dedication. The teams meticulous approach, adaptability, and commitment to safety solidify our reputation as a trusted partner in complex construction projects, ready to tackle any roofing challenge with confidence and skill.
